Hani Barhoush is the Chief Executive Officer of the Credit and Special Situations platform at Mubadala, overseeing investment businesses focused on Credit, Special Situations, and a number of country specific investment programs.
He is also Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Capital, the asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company that manages, advises, and administers over $430 billion in assets through its asset managers and strategic partnerships. In this capacity, Hani leads all investment and operational activities for Mubadala Capital's various businesses. Hani is a founding member of Mubadala Capital and has helped grow the business to its current state of over 200 employees spread across 5 global offices.
Since joining Mubadala in 2004, Hani has had several leadership roles at the firm and has been instrumental in driving the firm’s growth and evolution. He has extensive experience managing complex, bespoke, cross-border transactions and has led numerous high-profile partnerships throughout his tenure.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Hani worked as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith in New York.
Hani holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He also earned a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Harvard Law School.
